Read the ritual — The Velvet Veil
One of you is blindfolded. The other crushes the sachet once between the palms, holds it under the blindfolded one's nose, and reads the first card aloud. Then says nothing else for as long as the quiet holds.
What arrives
- A satin blindfold, cut wide enough to seal out light at the bridge of the nose
- A weighted eye pillow, flaxseed and dried lavender, to be laid over the blindfold once stillness sets in
- Silicone earplugs, so the quiet can be made complete rather than approximate
- A tickler in velvet on one side and long faux fur on the other
- A slim wand with an anodised metal body — cool to the hand before it is warm
- A linen sachet of lavender and rose, called The Hush
- Two stones, one warmed and one cooled, for contrast drawn along skin that cannot see it coming
- A set of touch-sequence cards, to be read aloud by whichever of you can still see
Every box also carries the shared packaging — see Inside a box.
